Jacob B.
Jacob was diagnosed in 7/2019 with a Craniopharyngioma. Jake’s tumor is a pituitary tumor that has been growing since he was a fetus.
On July 27th, Jacob was admitted to St. Mary’s after Jupiter Medical Center discovered the brain tumor. It also wraps around his optic nerve. Jacob had a craniotomy the day before his 10th birthday and started proton beam radiation about a month later. Since completing radiation, Jacob’s tumor has continued to get smaller and smaller. He has responded so well to radiation! His tumor is stable. He continues to take medication to replace the hormones that his pituitary gland will no longer make.
Jacob really is a sweet kid. He loves spending time with family, especially his little sister.
Jacob loves playing videos games in his PlayStation, fidget toys, his scooter and Ju Jitsu.
Due to his medical issues, Jake wants to someday be a doctor so that he can help sick kids.
