Rose L.
Since birth our precious Princess Rose has been a fighter. Born at 2 pounds 4 ounces and having to stay 52 days in the NICU. Rose has always been a sweet, friendly, loving little girl.
On July 7th, she had stayed with her grandparents for the day and his mom found a lump on Rose’s inner thigh. Her grandfather also noticed she was more sluggish and refused to do basic things she always wanted to do like running or splashing her feet in the pool.
We rushed her to the ER as we both read some things on lumps being found and just hoped for the best. When we arrived at the ER, they started performing bloodwork on her and that’s when, at the age of 3, she was diagnosed with Pre B Cell ALL Leukemia. Rose had to undergo a bone marrow biopsy, multiple lumbar punctures, and chemotherapy all within a 2 year 2 month span.
It is sad someone so small had to experience many medical procedures and harsh medication. With rain, sometimes a rainbow approaches and Rose was blessed to ring the bell September 13, 2024. Rose is currently attending school virtually, she loves all of the kids in her class and admires her teacher.
During treatment, she would knock on our neighbors door begging to play with his dog because she couldn’t really have interactions with people due to low neutrophils and once she rang the bell, he bought her a puppy named Bruno because that’s Cinderella’s dogs name.
Although, Rose is done with chemotherapy, she is having trouble producing platelets at a normal range. Rose is so strong and we know she will pull through. We as a family are so thankful for Chasin A Dream! They provided us with the hospital backpack which includes an iPad and other comfort items while going through treatment, as well as financial assistance.
This is the organization if any, you SHOULD donate to as they not only helped us, but many other families as well.
