Cedar B.

Here’s Cedar! He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in April of this year. He fell at school and lacerated his kidney causing internal bleeding which led the doctors to discover a 10cm tumor on his adrenal gland which was later removed and the biopsy confirmed it was cancer. He was air lifted to St. Mary’s on April 18.

Cedar being silly doing touristy things while we traveled to Philadelphia to visit a specialist on neuroblastoma. Cedar’s second 2+ week hospital stay where we connected with Chasin A Dream and Cedar was given a laptop which has been a huge blessing. He was fighting a blood infection during that stay and was unable to have friends visit due to the risk of a secondary infection. He was able to play games with his friends online, video chat family, catch up on school work (he missed the last 2 months of school). Even now, he has missed a lot of school due to doctor’s appointments, scans, tests, and new/increasing symptoms. He has been able to make up lessons on the laptop so he can stay on top of his schoolwork.
