Amber Nagele, Board Member
Amber Nagele joined the board in 2022, shortly after her own little tiny warrior Merrick completed his chemotherapy treatment for a rare form of brain cancer.
Amber has been a local pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and Lactation Counselor helping countless families, some of whom were involved in Chasin A Dream, but never imagined she herself would be a mom of a brave warrior fighting his own journey years later. Amber’s desire to join the board of directors was from her own personal realization that there are so many programs focusing on the emotional, physical, and mental wellness of the children battling lifelong illnesses and disabilities but not as much support for the mamas and caregivers. She felt she could offer a whole new perspective and help to evolve new ideas of how to truly support these caregivers who spend countless days being so strong for their little warriors and often have to push their own fears and emotions to the side selflessly. She has stated that as soon as her son was diagnosed and her family was sent into a whirlwind of decisions and trying to process everything that she wanted nothing more than to be there for and assist caregivers going through these battles once she was on the other side.
