The mission of Chasin A Dream Foundation is to provide individualized, life changing, assistance to families with children battling cancer, cystic fibrosis and other life threatening illnesses.
What began as a local grassroots movement to assist these children during the holidays has grown into an established non profit organization. Founder, Lori Griffith, had worked in the healthcare industry for the past 18 years, giving her a first hand look at what these children and their families face on a day to day basis. She wanted to be able to make more of a direct impact by providing life changing assistance year round so she dedicated herself to building Chasin A Dream Foundation, based on her belief in community and locals helping locals.
No parent should have to choose between life saving medication or paying their bills. The average family is only a few paychecks away from being faced with financial hardship. All too often when a child is diagnosed with a life threatening illness, one parent must leave their employment to become primary caretaker. For a single parent, this can be devastating, in many cases leaving them homeless. With staggering healthcare costs, families will often times lose their homes, cars and most everything they own before the child’s journey through illness is complete. At Chasin A Dream Foundation, we want to do everything possible to alleviate this stress from the family so they can focus on saving their child.
By working with our established community resources and local business partners, we can help ease the stress of families when their children are sick. At Chasin A Dream Foundation we are planning events year round where your donations will go directly to the children and their families, giving your generous gifts maximum impact. And through Chasin A Dream Photography, we will share with you the visual journey and story of each of the children we are helping under the Warrior tab. You will be able to follow their treatments and progress as they face their most difficult challenges in their conquest for good health.
We are making strides, but need your continued assistance to make this happen year round.
